Light Over Pangnirtung, Nunavut
The two pictures below were taken two days apart during the Third Anniversary Celebration of the Healing the Land Process in Pangnirtung, Nunavut. The first was taken on Friday July 24, 2009, by a member of Brian Warren's Team that joined us during those HTL celebrations. This picture was taken near the top of the mountain adjacent to Pangnirtung.
While they were climbing the mountain, nobody noticed an angelic presence hovering just above them, but later after they had returned to the community of Pangnirtung at the base of this mountain, they noticed this evidence of an open heaven, and an angelic presence over the community after much prayer had been made to the God of Heaven!
On the last day of the Third Anniversay of the beginning of the Healing the Land Process in Pangnirtung (Sunday, July 26, 2009), the mayor (Moses Qappik) and other community leaders erected a plaque on a large rock in the centre of the community that officially recognized the HTL Process according to II Chronicles 7:14. "If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land."
That same evening, Annie Qappik from Pangnirtung took the photograph below from the base of the same mountain seen above with further evidence of open heavens, and a divine presence over the community. Even though Pangnirtung, along with the other communities, are still in process, yet God is doing a mighty work in cleansing, healing and restoring both people and land in that area. The two are directly related, and inter-connected.

Roger and Marge Armbruster are bridge-builders and advocates of reconciliation and social justice between people groups and cultures. They both minister cross-culturally -- Marge by teaching English to new immigrants in rural southern Manitoba, and Roger by helping to build relationships between various indigenous groups who understand the connection that there is between people and land, with a special focus on the Inuit of Canada's North.
